Property and Use:

Odorless, taste salty, slightly bitter .Deliquescence, soluble in water and liquid ammonia, soluble in ethanol, methanol, slightly soluble in glycerol and acetone. Flammable and explosive in contact with organic matter, sulfur. The raw materials for manufacture of Potassium Nitrate, mines and explosives, picric acid, dyes. Manufacture of dye intermediates nitrating agent. Glass industry as a de-foaming agent, etc.
